Coming up to week 14 of pre-production and how do I feel…
I'm not sure about the way I have approached my animation
film correctly this year. I had worked hard, but not much result yet. I don’t know if I can finish my whole project on time. I have eight weeks
mid-year break....and looking forward to work on the project.
Right now I am just keep doing what I can. Background 90% complete, 4 shots complete out of the 38 shots. My
main concern is that there are so many shots , there are lots of animation to
be done!!
The positive side of thing is that , I had work hard on my
background, putting lots of details on
it, and I like the way the backgrounds turn out. Also the layers for each characters are complete, and I am using them in the After Effects . And I like to think time well spent with the layers for the characters.
The script is OK, I had to change it many times, But now it
is Ok.
I have placing all of the thumbnails in After effects as a guide. I have also starting to animate each layer in the After Effects.My plan is to work first on scene one and the final scene ,and then the rest will follow.It will give me a glimpse how
it look, and what needs to change.
I still need to complete the actions and expressions for
Lilly and Mum. It is taking a fair bit of time to get it all accurate
for late use. Having it as closely resembles to my film as possible will be a
great help down the track . I am putting the extra work now.
Sound is something I have it worked out, thankfully there are a number of actors that are willing
to act . I have three experts
in music will help with music and sound.
I am working hard always. I was up till 3 am nightly. I know
it is not good for me. But just a week to go till a break. I will enjoy a week without animation and get back to work as soon after.
My hope is that I will get more done on the upcoming break.
